Department Of Physics and Engineering
*Important
Note
West Virginia Wesleyan College is phasing out offering a bachelor
of science in engineering physics. The engineering physics major will
not be an available option for entering or transferring students beginning
with the fall of 2005. All degree requirements must be completed at
the end of the 2007-08 academic year. The college is committed to
provide class work leading to the degree for those students who have
declared this major by the fall of 2004.
Wesleyan’s programs in physics and engineering are multi-disciplinary and include the areas of physics, engineering, and astronomy. The B.S. in Engineering Physics prepares students to work in technological development and for graduate study in either engineering or physics. The B.S. in Physics prepares students for professional work in physics, either employment or graduate work. The B.A. in Physics and the physics minor are particularly valuable for students with interdisciplinary interests, and for students who wish to teach physics. |
