 Requirements for a Bachelor of Science Major
56 semester hours including CHEM 161, 163L; 221, 222, 223L, 224L; 231, 233L; 240, 242L; 331, 332, 333L, 334L, 340, 341L, 398, 399, 497; chemistry electives (4 hours); MATH 161, 162; PHYS 151, 152. Departmentally approved substitutes may be taken in place of certain laboratories. Required elective hours must be at the 200 level or above.
Requirements for a Bachelor of Arts Major
25 semester hours including CHEM 161, 163L; 221, 222, 223L, 224L; 231, 233L; 398, 497; 6 hours of chemistry electives, including at least 1 hr. of any CHEM laboratory course except CHEM 335. Departmentally approved substitutes may be taken in place of certain laboratories. Required elective hours must be at the 200 level or above.
Requirements for Minor
16 hours, including CHEM 161, 163L, 221, 222, 223L, 224L, 231, 233L.
A student in any course for which there is a corresponding laboratory must enroll in that laboratory or its approved substitute, except with approval of the department. |
