STUDENT ATHLETIC TRAINERS' CLUB

The Student Athletic Trainers' Club is designed to allow students to participate in activities that enhance their learning outside of the classroom as well as improve the training room environment. It is a voluntary club open to any athletic training major, freshman through senior. We currently have 23 members.

Each member is expected to participate in fundraising, volunteering when needed for scheduled events. Our main fundraiser is monthly massages for the athletic teams (others are welcome as well). For $5 the individual gets a 20 minute massage. Also, groups of 5 receive a discount. Recently, we also sponsored a 12 hour "Twister-A-Thon" to raise money for our club and for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The club advisor is Brian Potter. Our officers are re-elected each November and begin their offices in February.

As part of the club, we also have a Christmas party and a year-ending get together. Options being considered for a retreat this year include white-water rafting, paintball, or a camping trip.
