Curriculum

In order to qualify for the Master of Business Administration degree, each student must:

  1. Complete 42 semester hours, including BUS 510, 520, 530, 540, 550, 560, 570, 610, 620, 630, 640, 700; plus 6 hours selected from other graduate business courses or courses approved for transfer from other institutions;
  2. Earn at least 30 hours in residence;
  3. Achieve a cumulative B average (3.0 grade point average) in all courses applicable toward the MBA degree and in all MBA work completed at Wesleyan.

The Program is designed for maximum flexibility and includes a three-stage sequence of courses:

  1. Students may begin with either
    • first-level functional courses,
    • 500-level electives, or
    • support area courses.
  2. Students follow with a) second-level functional courses and b) 600-level electives.
  3. Students complete the program with the capstone course, Business Policy.
