PHSC 103--Physical Science for Teachers. A multidisciplinary introduction to the physical sciences for elementary education majors. Contains units on astronomy, chemistry, and geology. Lecture and laboratory.

PHSC 110--Geology. An introduction to the scientific study of the natural aspects of the earth, including the geophysical processes that shape the earth, the structure and formation of rocks and minerals, and erosion and weathering. Lecture and laboratory.

PHYS 131--Astronomy I. A study of the structure and origin of the solar system including historical views. Comparing the planets and their satellites. The formation of the solar system. Lecture and laboratory.

PHYS 132--Astronomy II. A study of the life and death of a star, the interstellar medium, galaxies, and the past and future of the universe. Lecture and laboratory.


PHYS 145--Engineering Design I. Department resources, teamwork, problem solving techniques.

PHYS 146--Engineering Design II. A continuation of PHYS 145.

PHYS 151--General Physics I. An introductory course in mechanics and heat. Lecture and laboratory.
