Two Plasma Physicists Visit Us

Dr. Robert Merlino and Dr. Mark Koepke presented a colloquium on plasma physics research to our students. A plasma is produced when the temperature of a gas is increased until it ionizes. Some examples of plasmas are glowing substances such as a neon sign, fire, and the Sun. Dr. Merlino works at the University of Iowa and Dr. Koepke works at WVU.

Afterward, Dr. Koepke discusses graduate school opportunities at WVU.
