Graduate Schools
Wesleyan biology graduates are very successful in gaining admission to medical schools and other graduate programs. 54.8% of biology majors were admitted to a professional school or graduate school between 1992 and 2004. The most frequent choice was medical school (28% of graduates).
Among West Virginia colleges and universities, Wesleyan was second only to WVU in the number of students admitted to the WVU School of Medicine over the last three years. Other popular graduate and professional schools include dental school, optometry school, and pharmacy school, M.S. programs in forensics and Ph.D. programs in molecular biology.
