National Science Foundation Internships

Heather Graffius and Mike Scruggs both had summer NSF research experiences in the Electrical Engineering Department at Penn State.

Heather studied thunderstorms and lightning. Michael studied nuclear quadrupole resonance.

For each of the last five summers, Wesleyan has sent students to Penn State. Two of these students are presently pursuing graduate degrees there.

Chera Rogers had an NSF research experience in Materials Science at Florida State University. Chera worked on a theoretical study of impurities using random-walk theory.
