Department of Physics and Engineering
Letter from Jane Schelbe

Dr. Popson,

I am writing to you to let you know that I really love my job. I am teaching at Green Hope High School in Cary, N.C. I teach physical science, honors physics, and advanced placement physics. I really enjoy working with the high caliber of students at Green Hope.

I love it in North Carolina, too. Wesleyan really has prepared me for a lot of what I do on a daily basis.

I also have really great news. A couple of weeks ago, my principal approached me about nominating me for an award that recognizes teachers within the county. I found out this morning that I am a finalist for the award. Only one teacher per high school can be nominated. This award is given to only one high school teacher in the county, and our county has 19 high schools. It is a real honor to be recognized by my principal and department head.

I enjoyed the department newsletter this year. And I just wanted to say a quick hello and Merry Christmas.

Jane Schelbe,
Class of 2001
