West Virginia Wesleyan College

Dual-Degree Engineering Program

You will find the Dual-Degree Engineering Program to be particularly attractive if you want to start your engineering studies in a small college with smaller class sizes. You can earn two degrees in a total of about five years.

At Wesleyan, your classes will be taught by a professor, not a graduate student. You will have ready access to your professors for career guidance or help on assignments. You can easily participate in activities such as music, theatre, student government, or sports. Prospective employers value the education provided at a liberal arts college.

You can earn a degree in Physics from Wesleyan and one of the following:

  • B.S. in Engineering, West Virginia University
  • B.S. in Engineering, Virginia Tech
  • M.S. in Engineering, University of Virginia

Students complete Wesleyan’s required courses in three years. At the beginning of Year 4, students transfer to the chosen university, where they take appropriate engineering courses.
