Recommended Courses
Candidates for admission to physical therapy schools should complete the following recommended courses.
- Twelve semester hours of psychology (including Abnormal and Developmental)
- Three semester hours of mathematics (algebra or higher)
- Three-four semester hours of statistics
- Eight semester hours of physics (including Labs)
- Eight-fourteen hours of chemistry (including organic chemistry and biochemistry)
- Eight semester hours of biology
- Eight semester hours of human anatomy and physiology
- Three semester hours of communication studies
- Six semester hours of English composition
- Three semester hours of sociology
- Six-nine semester hours of social sciences
- Six-twelve semester hours of humanities/fine arts
- Three semester hours of computer science
