Wesleyan's low-residency program offers interested writers the opportunity to emphasize the connection between place and identity. Students may focus on their home area, one of the field-study destinations, or the Appalachian region.

While writers may spend one residency in a Wesleyan supervised field seminar in Ireland or another travel destination, other opportunities include student-designed internships in publishing, editing, and teaching.
