B.A., double major in Mascot Studies and Philosophy, West Virginia Wesleyan College,
Favorite thing about WVWC:
I have always been partial to the intense academic rigor and high expectations of our highly-trained faculty. The work is hard, but the payoff is worth it in the end. Apropos; our professors are also very concerned with our students' successes as students, mentees, and as future alumni. This sort of caring attentiveness really is the calling card of a liberal arts education such as ours.
Any advice to prospective students:
"You have to be in it to win it." We have great history and tradition, but as a student you must intentionally engrain yourself in the life of the school. Always attend class and work hard, but also take the time to join organizations, enjoy our performing arts opportunities, support our athletic teams, and so on. What makes our school truly great are students like you!
