1961
SARAH J. SAUTER TAYLOR,
Fallston, MD, has retired after eight years of service as a medical
secretary. Previously, she retired from the Baltimore County Board of
Education in December 1983.
1967
MILLARD “HAP” CURSEY,
Phoenix, MD, director of Holly Hill Manor, an assisted living facility
in Towson, challenged his employees to raise $2,000 for the Alzheimer’s
Association. The employees exceeded the challenge by $400. * ALLEN
H. BLOOD, Norwood, MA, and his wife, TINA
BIAS BLOOD ’67 and their son, CHRISTOPHER
’00, are visiting JEFFREY
R. L. BLOOD ’95 and his wife, Charessee,
in Japan at Camp Zama Army Base. Allen retired on October 1, 2003 after
serving 33 years as an Administrator for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation
Commission of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tina
continues to work at the Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood. Their
daughter, HEATHER BLOOD ’96
resides in West Chester, PA and works as director of graphic design
for an advertising agency.

1970
MARGARET ANDERSON,
Kent, OH, recently received the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences
Distinguished Alumni Award for 2004 from West Virginia University. She
also received the Featured Poet Award at the 23rd Annual Literary Festival
of Emory and Henry College in Virginia. In the spring of 2004, Margaret
received the Distinguished Scholar Award from Kent State University,
where she is professor of English and Director of the Wick Poetry Center.
1971
JOHN F. LACARIA,
Cross Lanes, WV, and REV. TED ANDERSON
’74 traveled to India with 26 others (4 adults
and 22 youth) on December 28, 2004. The group will return on January
14, 2005. The trip is called the Mission of Peace (MOP) and it is a
ministry of the Northeastern Jurisdictional
Council on Youth Ministries with The United Methodist Church. John is
currently doing longitudinal research on all the participants who have
participated in MOP since 1986 as part of his Doctor of Ministry degree
through United Theological Seminary.

California, MD, and husband, Alfonso (Al), announce the birth of their
son, Nicholas Edward, on July 18, 2004.

STEVEN A. SCHALICK,
Elmer, NJ, was elected in 2004 as a Councilman in the Boro of Elmer.
He is married to Rebecca Collins Schalick, and they have one son, Jackson
Richard. Mr. Schalick is
employed by his family business Schalick Mill, Inc. in Elmer. * JENNIFER

announce the birth of their son, Preston Shane, on October 11, 2004.
