M. PAUL SAMS,
North Kingstown, RI, retired in 2004 as chief engineer of the Rhode Island
Water Resources Board. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1984.
He has two sons, Michael Sams and David Sams. * DAVID
R. PERKINS, Lewisburg, WV, has retired from the presidency
of New River Community & Technical College. He retired with forty-one
years of service in teaching and higher education administration.

RICHARD
N. JEYNES,
Woodbridge, CT, is in his 40th year of teaching in Milford, CT. He recently
concluded 38 years of coaching baseball at Milford High School with
215 wins 95 loses, 16 years as recruiting coordinator and assistant
baseball coach at Yale University, and two years as head baseball coach
at the University of Bridgeport. Richard was elected to the Amity High
School, Woodbridge, CT, Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.

Ellington, CT, has retired after 35 years of teaching in the Ellington
school system. His wife, Carolyn, is also retired and they are traveling
the United States visiting family and friends.

Richmond, VA, has been appointed by Virginia Governor Mark Warner to
the Virginia Board of Psychology, which regulates the practice of psychology

P. BLOOD ’00, are visiting their son and
brother, JEFFREY R. L. BLOOD ’95,
and his wife, Charessee, at Camp Zama Army Base in Japan. They enjoyed
visiting them and their family of Casey (7) and Cody Sims (9), their
step children, and their first grandchild, Madison Leanna Carol Blood,
born February 3, 2004. Allen retired on October 1, 2003 after serving
33 years as an administrator for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission
of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tina continues to work at the
Morrill Memorial Library in Norwood. Their daughter, HEATHER
BLOOD ’96 resides in West Chester, PA and
works as the director of graphic design for an advertising agency.

in Papua. The college is the only theological college of the Anglican

Knoxville, TN, graduated from law school in May 2004, and was admitted
to the bar in a ceremony before the Tennessee Supreme Court.

WILLIAM
(B.J.) BRAZIER has
been promoted to chief warrant officer three in the U.S. Army. He is
currently serving in Korea as Commander/Bandmaster, 2nd Infantry Division
Band. In the summer of 2005, he will take command of the U.S. Army Medical
Command Band, at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.

Standardsville, VA, received her master of arts in teaching in May 2004.
She is currently employed by Greene County Public School system as a

Woodstock, GA, recently completed the master of science in Conflict
Management from Kennesaw State University. He is a registered neutral
with the Georgia State Supreme Court, practicing general, civil, and
family mediation. He also has served as a commissioned U.S. Army Signal
Officer and is currently employed with Sprint Corporation as General
Manager responsible for all Network Operations Service Assurance within
the contiguous United States. Gary and his wife, Cheryl have two sons,
Cody and Bradley.

school district after working in the computer industry the past few
years. He and his wife, Anise, have two daughters.

Somers, CT, recently had his latest book, Growing Up Mostly Normal in
the Middle of Nowhere: A Memoir, accepted for publication by Foremost
Press. The book was a finalist for the Sante Fe Writers Project Literary
Award. John is professor of English and Communication at Asnuntuck Community
College in Enfield, CT, and was recently honored by Who’s Who
Among America’s Teachers. * PATRICIA

marriage to Dale A. Hutchinson Sr. on June 12, 2004. * BETHANY
D. LIPSCOMB, South Charleston, WV, was united in
marriage to Donald J. Staats on January 15, 2005 at Cottageville United
Methodist Church. One of the wedding guests was MARYANN
WHISNER LEWIS ’83, who was her Zeta Tau Alpha
sorority big sister. Beth is a nurse working for the state of West Virginia.

at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC. She has authored

the Heart of Christian Education, published by Brazos Press.
