Pride Club Supports Wesleyan Team Sports
Members
of the Bobcat Pride Club draw tremendous satisfaction from knowing that
their financial assistance is providing a significant supplement to
regular athletic department resources. Club contributions help sustain
scholarships, improve equipment and facilities, and enhance athletic
department programs and services for over 350 student athletes each
year.
Recently
purchased items from Club donations include:
-
A
new sound system for the football stadium. The new system is portable
and can be used at other athletic events.
-
Thirty
six logo chairs for men’s and women’s basketball and
volleyball. The chairs are orange and black with a bobcat paw print
on the seat.
-
A
large orange and black banner that will enclose the scoring table
at home basketball games.
-
Two
beds for athletic department golf cars to improve transportation
of athletic training supplies and materials to outdoor areas.
The
Bobcat Pride Club was established in 1997 to build support for the West
Virginia Wesleyan College athletic program. Annually, over 500 alumni,
parents, and other friends of the College help generate enthusiasm,
as well as the much-needed financial support for the young men and women
who participate in Wesleyan's team sports.
If
you would like to help sustain and strengthen Wesleyan's athletic tradition,
you can do so by making a gift online or by sending a donation to the
Advancement Office at 59 College Avenue, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Support
