Greetings, I write this month’s greeting with such great pride of our alma mater. I hope many of you reviewed the contents of the February OrangeLine and read the wonderful feature article, Sago Reflections written by Bob Skinner '75, Director of Marketing and Communication.

Bob’s heartfelt details and description of the events allowed us, who were many miles away, to experience the impact that Wesleyan made on the families and Buckhannon community. Like many of you, my family and I watched the many media reports as events unfolded. Our attention heightened when West Virginia Wesleyan College was named or pictures of Wesley Chapel filled the TV screen. Colleagues, friends, and family mentioned that they “saw your college in the news” or “isn’t that the school you attended in West Virginia?” It was with pride that Ellen and I said, “yes!” While this tragedy required a great deal of the Wesleyan community’s time and energy, I’m sure you too were proud of the efforts demonstrated to support the Upshur County community in a time of grief. Just as Wesleyan stepped forward and showed great support to the community, we as alumni can step forward and show our support to Wesleyan with our time, our gifts, and commitment. If you too felt the pride of Wesleyan, how do you plan to support Wesleyan in the days to come? Warmly, Kevin W. Bruny ‘84
