Wesleyan Prepares for 116th West Virginia Wesleyan College will celebrate its 116th Commencement weekend on Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30. The Class of 2006, along with returning alumni and guests, will join in the celebration of events, dinners, and activities during the three-day period. The weekend finale will be the Commencement ceremony of approximately 300 students. |

The baccalaureate service will be held in Wesley Chapel with guest speaker Dr. Margaret Mason Mallory, District Superintendent of the Toledo District in the West Ohio Conference, at 8 p.m.. Mason is regarded as a dynamic speaker who has served cross-racial and African American congregations. The weekend will begin Friday at 7:30 p.m. with an Evening of Music presented by Wesleyan’s Jazz Ensemble in Wesley Chapel. On Saturday, activities include the Emeritus Club luncheon with the induction of the 1956 class members in the French A. See Dining Center at 11:30 a.m. The senior nursing convocation begins at 1 p.m. in Wesley Chapel followed by a reception at 2:30 p.m. in Kresge Hall, along with the senior art exhibit and reception at 1 p.m. in Sleeth Gallery in McCuskey Hall. The doors open for the annual Commencement banquet in the French A. See Dining Center at 5:30 p.m. for the 2006 graduates and their guests.
