If you missed Homecoming 2005, you missed a great weekend. The weather didn't totally cooperate, but it certainly didn't dampen the spirits and celebratory atmosphere of the weekend. It again was a time for alumni, faculty, staff, and students to share in the essence of the Wesleyan experience. Throughout the weekend one could see hugs, friendly greetings, smiles, and excitement as people came together to relive their Wesleyan experience and catch up on life since graduation.

I marveled at how several reunion classes pulled together dynamite dinners, celebrations, and financial giving to the college while setting a model for others to emulate. While the rain dampened the streets, the returning parade was filled with spirit and energy from students who contributed time and talents with floats and messages. Recognizing the accomplishments of our alumni award winners and this year's Hall of Fame inductees was a high point at the alumni banquet.

As you read this edition of the OrangeLine, I hope you can see that excitement and fun that filled a weekend in the hills of West Virginia. I hope you will consider attending next year's Homecoming scheduled for October 13-15, 2006.

Sincerely-

Kevin W. Bruny '84
