Welcome Message from Kristi Lawrence Wilkerson ‘99
In the last two weeks I have found that a few things have changed here while much has stayed the same. I see construction on campus as the Performing Arts Center goes up. I listen to plans about expanding Christopher Hall of Science. I learn about new academic programs now offered. And, I meet new faces everywhere I go. I have also quickly recognized that the good parts that make Wesleyan special are all still in place. Seniors are gearing up to graduate soon and join us as part of the OrangeLine. Spring Break stories are both entertaining and noteworthy, including the adventures of the Alternative Spring Break group which traveled to New Orleans to assist Hurricane Katrina victims. And, successful athletic teams are all around (for instance, did you know our Lady Bobcat Basketball Team recently played in the WVIAC Championship Game?). But most importantly, I have noticed that there are smiling faces willing to help whenever needed all across campus. The Wesleyan community – our family – is still here ready and waiting to serve current, future, and past students. I find great comfort in knowing that this is truly my home. I invite you back to Wesleyan for a visit any time! Be sure to stop by Erickson Alumni Center and chat for a while with us over a cup of coffee. We would love to know what great experiences you’ve encountered recently. My best wishes to you always, Kristi Lawrence Wilkerson ‘99 P.S. Don’t forget to learn more about the latest happenings on campus and with fellow alumni in this month’s edition of the OrangeLine OnLine!
