The Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts

Through a generous lead gift from alumnus John M. Law ’40, as well as a later Law Challenge gift which resulted in an additional $500,000 in funding, construction has begun on the new center for the performing arts.  The VTLCPA is named in memory of Mr. Law’s late wife.

Virginia“Virginia and I were longstanding supporters of the performing arts and other cultural opportunities,” said Law.  “In creating this memorial, I want to share my love for Virginia and my commitment to the quality of life on the West Virginia Wesleyan campus and the Buckhannon community.  I hope others will join me in supporting this important project.”

“We are enormously grateful to Mr. Law for his generous gifts and his commitment to seeing our dream realized,” stated President Pam Balch.  “The Performing Arts Center is an important symbol of Wesleyan as a cultural resource to our students, our community and our region.”
