Head coach Jackie Murphy (pictured) and the Wesleyan volleyball team wrapped up their regular season last week and head into this weekend's West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) tournament as the fifth seed.

The Lady Bobcats will travel to Charleston, WV to take on 12th seeded West Liberty in the first round at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Wesleyan enters the match with a record of 11-14 overall and 9-5 in the conference while West Liberty holds a record of 7-22 overall and 3-11 in the conference.

In their only meeting of the season, the Lady Bobcats handed West Liberty a 3-0 (25-7, 25-20, 25-19) defeat.

The winner of Wesleyan and West Liberty will advance to Thursday's 7 p.m. second round match against fourth seed West Virginia State.

State rallied to knock off the Lady Bobcats in five sets (19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 13-15) in the regular season finale on November 4.
