West Virginia Wesleyan College Director of Athletics Ken Tyler today announced that Head Men’s Basketball Coach Bill Lilly’s appointment will not be extended. Lilly’s career record (5 years) at Wesleyan was 38-105, including 8-21 this past season.
“This was a very difficult decision,” Tyler said. “No person has shown more dedication to Wesleyan basketball than Bill Lilly. He has always been a class act and we are grateful for the way he has represented our school and for the example he has set for our student-athletes. We wish him nothing but the best.”
A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
