West Virginia Wesleyan women’s softball coach Steve Warner (pictured) was recently included in West Virginia Executive magazine’s first Sports Hall of Fame. Warner is one of 66 athletes and coaches selected for the list that includes famous names as Jerry West, Rod Thorn, Don Nehlen, Randy Moss, Pat White, Steve Slaton, Lou Holtz, and Nick Saban.

Warner, a 1990 graduate of Wesleyan, has led the Bobcats to 16 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships (WVIAC), 15 NCAA Division II regional tournaments, and one national tournament appearance. He has been named the WVIAC Coach of the Year in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. His overall coaching record in 18 years at the helm is 688-262-1 including a 44-13 slate this season.
