Coker Garners Honorable Mention All-American Honors
Matt Coker (pictured) of the Wesleyan baseball team was selected as an honorable mention All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Coker posted a big senior season that propelled West Virginia Wesleyan to a 29-12 record. The Beckley, WV senior third baseman hit .451 and had a sterling on-base percentage of .525. West Virginia Wesleyan’s Matt Coker (pictured right) and Cory Flickinger (pictured left) were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Atlantic Region First Team. Teammate Ryan Lewicki (pictued below) joined them on the All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention Team.

Wesleyan's Matt Coker, Cory Flickinger Named to Daktronics All-Atlantic Regional Second Team
West Virginia Wesleyan’s Matt Coker (pictured right) and Cory Flickinger (pictured below) were named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Baseball All-Atlantic Region Team. Both were Second Team selections.

Baseball Finishes 12th in Atlantic Region Rankings
With the WVIAC Tournament and the 2010 campaign in the books, the Wesleyan baseball team clocked in at number 12 in the Atlantic Region rankings. The Bobcats finished the year with a record of 29-12.
Wesleyan entered the WVIAC Tournament on the heels of a 21 game winning streak but were dealt two close losses to put a sudden hault to the momentum.
The Bobcats were one of five WVIAC squads to earn recognition in the latest rankings.

'Cats Eliminated From Tournament With Loss to State
The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat baseball season came to a disappointing end at the hands of the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets Friday afternoon in the WVIAC Tournament at Point Stadium at the University of Pitt-Johnstown.
The ‘Cats, who relied so much on their offense to carry them through the season, managed just six hits in a 3-1 setback to the Yellow Jackets.
The loss eliminates the Bobcats from the WVIAC double elimination tournament.
