Men, Women X-C Picked 2nd in WVIAC Rankings
Seton Hill is the coaches' choice to claim the 2010 WVIAC men's and women's cross country championships. The Griffins edged West Virginia Wesleyan, Wheeling Jesuit, and Concord in tight voting atop the men's poll. The coaches placed SHU, Wesleyan, Concord, and Wheeling Jesuit in the top four spots in the women's voting.

Men Place 11th, Women 15th in X-C Atlantic Regional
The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country teams competed in the Atlantic Region Championships Saturday morning in Lamb's Creek at Mansfield, PA.
The men’s team finished a strong 11th among 21 teams while the women placed 15th among 22 teams.

Feature Athlete of the Week: Barry Franklin
Each week, the Wesleyan Sports Information staff will sit down with a different featured athlete for a question and answer session.
This week's featured athlete is men's cross country runner Barry Franklin. Franklin, a sophomore from Medford, New York helped lead the Wesleyan cross country and track teams to WVIAC championships last year in his first year on the squad.

WVWC/St. Joseph's 5K Run is a Success
Despite chilly temperatures that dipped into the thirty's and forty's on Saturday morning, over 80 people registered to participate in a 5K race that was hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan College and St. Joseph's Hospital.
The purpose of the 5K was to promote health and wellness to the entire community.

WVWC/St. Joseph's to Hold 5K Run/Walk Oct. 17
West Virginia Wesleyan College and St. Joseph's Hospital will hold a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 17th in Buckhannon. The 5K is open to the public and is designed to be a fun way to promote health and wellness to the entire community.

Brock, Edwards Named First Central Bank Athletes of the Week
First Central Bank of Buckhannon and West Virginia Wesleyan College has once again formed a partnership to recognize athletic excellence of Wesleyan student-athletes. Each week, two Wesleyan athletes, a female and male, will be honored by First Central Bank and Wesleyan as Athletes of the Week.

X-C Teams Sweep Glenville State Invitational
The men's and women's cross country teams both turned in dominating performances, sweeping the top spots at the Glenville State Invitational on Saturday.
The women's team came in with a team low 18 points while the men's team recorded a team low 32 points to both finish in first place. Both team's placed eight runners in the top 15.

Cross Country Finishes Strong at Ohio Univ. Meet
The Wesleyan men's and women's cross country teams each ran their way to top five finishes at the Ohio University meet on Saturday. The men ran their way to a third place finish while the women finished in fifth.
Of the twelve schools at the meet, Wesleyan was the lone Division II school. The remainder of the field was made up of Division I schools.

Women's X-C Ranked Ninth in Atlantic Region
The Wesleyan women's cross country team made their debut in the Atlantic Region ratings on Tuesday, coming in at ninth place. In addition to their regional ranking, the Lady Bobcats remain in first place in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) standings.

The West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) announced their men's and women's cross country runners of the week. Nate Edwards (pictured) became the first Wesleyan runner to earn conference honors this season.
