Lacrosse Team Preparing to Become Varsity Sport
West Virginia Wesleyan College will add women's lacrosse as announced by Director of Athletics Ken Tyler, increasing the number of varsity sports sponsored by the school to 19.

April 11 Lacrosse Match at Carnegie-Mellon Postponed
Head women's lacrosse coach Beth Lampinen announced today that her team's club match at Carnegie-Mellon on Sunday, April 11 has been postponed.
No make-up date for the game has been determined at this point.

Lacrosse Team Opens Season Against WVU
The West Virginia Wesleyan lacrosse club team played their first game of the season Saturday afternoon in a scrimmage against West Virginia University at Cebe Ross Field.
The Lady Bobcats came up short in a 22-5 setback.
Ashley Ferguson (pictured) scored two goals for the Lady Bobcats while Katelyn Shaw, Brittany Snider, and Ryann Moore each contributed one apiece.
Lady Bobcat goalie Macy Webster made 10 saves.

Lacrosse to Host WVU in Home Exhibition Match
The Wesleyan women's lacrosse team will play host to the West Virginia Mountaineers in an exhibition game on Saturday, October 3 at Cebe Ross Field.
The Lady Bobcats, under the direction of head coach Beth Lampinen (pictured), are currently a club team but will become an official varsity sport beginning in the Fall of 2010.
The addition of women’s lacrosse brings the total number of sports offered by Wesleyan to 19, the most in West Virginia.

Women's Lacrosse to be Added to Athletic Department
West Virginia Wesleyan College Director of Athletics Ken Tyler announced today the Wesleyan will be adding women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport, beginning in the fall of 2010. Women’s lacrosse will remain a club sport for the 2009-10 academic year.
Beth Lampinen has been named Interim Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and her primary responsibility will be to recruit student-athletes for the first varsity team.
