Douglas Runs 21.527, Narrowly Misses 200 Dash Cut
After a rain delayed beginning of the running portion of the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Friday, Wesleyan sprinter Kevoy Douglas (pictured) turned in a time of 21.527 in the preliminary heat of the 200 meter dash.

Kump Finishes 5th, Earns All-American Track Status
With a fifth place finish in the decathlon at the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Friday, Wesleyan senior Ricky Kump (pictured) became the newest member of the Bobcat All-American club.
Kump entered the Friday in third place with a score of 3,741 points after five events. The day began with the 110 meter hurdles in which Kump placed seventh to push him into second place overall.

Senior Wesleyan men's track star Ricky Kump (picured) turned in a strong showing during day one of the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, NC on Thursday. Kump, who was one of 12 national qualifiers in the decathlon, sits in third place with 3,741 points after five events. He is just seven points off of second place.

Wesleyan track and field fans can follow men's stand-outs Kevoy Douglas and Ricky Kump live as they compete at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, NC.
Kump (pictured right) kicks off his pursuit of a national title in the decathlon at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 27.
Douglas, meanwhile, is scheduled to compete in the 200 meter dash preliminaries at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, May 28.
Kump, Douglas Qualify for NCAA Division II Track Meet
With the release of the NCAA qualifiers on Wednesday, Wesleyan senior track stars Ricky Kump (pictured top) and Kevoy Douglas (pictured below) will officially become the first Bobcat track and field athletes to participate in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships since Tyler Blatchley in 2008.

Men 9th; Women 10th in Latest Atlantic T&F Poll
The Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams both dropped in this weeks Atlantic Region rankings. The men's team dropped two spots to number nine while the women fell one spot to number ten.
The Bobcat track and field team's finished their 2010 outdoor campaign on May 1 by running away with dominating victories at the WVIAC Championship Meet.
Wesleyan will now await the announcement of the NCAA Championship qualifiers on May 15.... [read more]
Men 7th; Women 9th in Atlantic Track and Field Poll
After posting dominating victories at the WVIAC Championships in Wheeling, the men's and women's track and field teams made a leap into the Atlantic Regional polls. The men jumped to seventh in the latest rankings while the women entered the poll at number nine.
Wesleyan is the only the WVIAC school ranked in either poll. The women made the largest jump in the nation, moving up from number 16 in the previous rankings.

Track and Field Sweeps WVIAC Championships
The Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams continued their WVIAC dominance with a clean sweep of the conference championships on Saturday at Wheeling. The titles gave the women's team their eigth consecutive championship and 18 of the past 20 and the men's team their second in a row and fifth of the past seven.

Track and Field Teams Look to Defend WVIAC Titles
The 2010 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Track & Field portion of the Championships will be held April 30-May 1 at Wheeling Jesuit.
The multi-event portion of the meet concluded last weekend as Seton Hill’s Erin Beattie won the 13-woman field and defended her crown in the heptathlon with a WVIAC record 4271 points. In addition the heptathlon, saw three individual event records fall over the two day competition.

Edgell Claims Men's Decathlon Title in Record Fashion
West Virginia Wesleyan's Cuylor Edgell claimed the WVIAC men's decathlon title in record fashion, while Seton Hill's Erin Beattie defended her title to cap off the multi-event portion of the league meet.
Edgell's NCAA provisional decathlon mark of 6313 points bettered former Concord star Dustin Greenwood's mark of 6298 for the conference record.

Bobcat Track and Field Dominates Wendy's Invitational
The Wesleyan men's and women's track teams successfully defended their home turf on Friday, running away with a clean sweep of the Wendy's Bobcat Invitational. The annual home meet featured seven schools; West Virginia Wesleyan, Glenville State, Concord, Pitt-Johnstown, West Virginia State, Alderson-Broaddus and Mountain State.
