Outdoor Recreation
Who Are We
The Outdoor Recreation program at West Virginia Wesleyan College allows our students to get outside and explore the wild & wonderful state we call home! We provide guided trips, rental equipment, and various programs to keep our students active in the great outdoors.
Whether you are planning your own outdoor excursion, need advice on outdoor activities, or want to tag along on one of our guided trips, our Outdoor Recreation program is the answer!
What We Do
Trips
We offer several unique trips around West Virginia each semester. Adventures range from laid-back and serene to high-intensity and thrilling.
All trips are free or low-cost and include travel, food, and any necessary equipment. Each trip has maximum capacity numbers, so sign up early! When signing up, remember that Outdoor Recreation has a Cancellation Policy, so be sure to read carefully to avoid any fees. All participants must also complete our Health and Liability Waiver prior to attending a trip.
Sign-ups open two weeks prior to each trip and will occur through the CORQ app, or at the links attached to our Social Media accounts. To learn more details or sign up for a trip:

3) Find the event you want to attend
4) Read the trip details
5) Click the sign-up link in the description and complete the form
Rentals
Students can take advantage of our free rental equipment, games, and supplies to plan their own outdoor adventures. Email us to receive more information on rentals or to see what equipment we have available! We offer a variety of equipment in the following categories:
