DanceWorks II Coming to Wesleyan

Come and join the Wesleyan Community for this Dance works program on December 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Atkinson Auditorium. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

This program is comprised of three pieces from Wesleyan Dance classes, and one piece from Nina Augusta’s youth ballet titled Snow, which features Wesleyan Sophomore Jason Jackson.

Wesleyan’s Dance program is now in it’s second year and is starting to flourish. About this new program Sophomore Erica Scanlon says, “Before last year the dance courses offered were only for basic technique. Bess Park Reynolds, Director of Musical Theatre and Dance at Wesleyan, is introducing levels of difficulty. She approaches the classes with a great deal of professionalism and the concerts give the students an opportunity to put the technique into the context of a piece, and also gives us a chance to work with other students in a performance setting.”
