Nine West Virginia Students Inducted into Phi Kappa Phi at West Virginia Wesleyan College

Phi Kappa Phi recently inducted nine new members to the organization at West Virginia Wesleyan College during the 2003 spring semester. The students include Katharine Ballentine of Parkersburg, Brian Berry of Bridgeport, Erin Childers of Frankford, Rebecca Davis of Clarksburg, Jennifer Leigh of Buckhannon, Nicole Mutafis of Bridgeport, Sarah Sofka of Wheeling, Marlena Vassar of Mount Clare, and Sara Wood of Clarksburg.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society. Wesleyan's chapter is one of 280 nationwide and membership is by invitation after nomination and chapter approval. The Society's mission is "To recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others."
