Everyone’s
favorite “Silly Old Bear,” Winnie-the-Pooh, will be leaving
his home of Hundred Acre Woods for the rolling hills of West Virginia
when he makes his way to West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday and
Sunday, March 22-23.
Pooh and all of his friends will be performing some of the best loved
stories by A. A. Milne on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College
at Jenkins Theatre. Performance times will be at 2 and 4 p.m. each day.
Join Pooh and his friends Rabbit, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Kanga, Roo, and
of course Tigger in this play for the whole family.
You will see Pooh as he gets stuck in Rabbit’s front door, searches
for Eeyore’s tail, and tries to find Tigger some breakfast.
Theatre space is intimate so children might find themselves as part of
the story!
“Winnie-the-Pooh is a show for everyone,” remarked director
Barbara Burgess-Lefebvre. “Going back to the original material has
been revealing and I hope that this production will encourage children
to read these books for themselves.”
A special Pooh party is planned at 3 p.m. for each day. For an additional
dollar, children can talk with the characters, have their photo taken
with their favorite characters, do crafts, and have a snack. Come early
for the 4 p.m. show or stay after the 2 p.m. show for an extra special
addition to your Winnie-the-Pooh experience!
Admission is $4 for general admission, $2 for children and senior citizens,
and $1 for West Virginia Wesleyan students.
