With our country nearing a possible conflict with Iraq, the West Virginia Wesleyan College West Mediation Chapel will be open on the day that war breaks out for interfaith and intercessory prayers and reflection.

The Wesleyan campus –students, faculty, and college staff – as well as the Upshur County community are invited to use the Meditation Chapel as a gathering point.
There will be prayer candles, poems and a basket for prayer concerns as we pray for peace, the troops, government leaders, and the citizens of all nations.

There will also be newsprint markers so you can “graffiti for peace.”

On the day following the beginning of the war, there will be a candlelight vigil on the steps of Wesley Chapel at 7 p.m.
