Combining
stunning acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy, and inventive
choreography, the Second Hand Dance Company brings to life a world of
imagination, beauty, muscle, and merriment to West Virginia Wesleyan College
Wednesday, April 23, in Atkinson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
The three performers, Andy Horowitz, Greg O’ Brien, and Marlon Torres
have created a sensory feast of images ranging from the ridiculous to
the sublime, drawn together into a seamless whole, consistently bringing
audiences to their feet.
The performance, at its core, is the work of three bodies intertwining
and melding together like sculpture in motion. The three artists use their
bodies and an odd assortment of props and costumes to create an amazing
blend of dance, whit, and muscle.
Second Hand is a triumphant mix of art and entertainment, offering world-class,
award winning choreography.
Formed in 2002, Second Hand Dance has been seen on The Late Show with
David Letterman, Crook and Chase, and the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon.
