Omega, West Virginia Wesleyan College’s theater honor society, is
sponsoring the interactive murder mystery Art Imitates Death. The
show will be performed Thursday through Saturday, March 18-20 at 8 p.m.
and Sunday, March 21 at 2 p.m. in Jenkins Arena. Art Imitates Death is truly an interactive experience for the audience. The show tells the story of several artists competing for a grant from Il Patrone. The question is, who is willing to kill for it? The audience has the opportunity to solve the murder and name the killer by ballot at the end of this exciting show. Seven Wesleyan students make up the cast. The performers are seniors Samantha Dredge and Leanne Mangano, juniors Mike Kotlarek and Jason Brier, sophomores Darren Judy and Janice McCrostie, and freshman Jamie Watkins. The play is written and directed by Barbara Burgess-Lefebvre, the director of theatre arts at Wesleyan. Last month, she directed Quilters, which celebrated American pioneer women. Art Imitates Death is part of the College’s Arts Alive! Series. The performance is open to the public and they are encouraged to attend. Admission is $3 |
