Set for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day released: 01/16/04 |

| A Service
of Celebration and Remembrance, honoring the life and work of Martin Luther
King, Jr. on Monday, January 19 in Wesley Chapel at 11 a.m. Classes will be canceled and most offices will be closed for the hour to observe the celebration. Guest speaker for the service will be Bishop Violet L. Fisher, Resident Bishop of the New York West Area of the United Methodist Church. Prior to her election as Bishop she served as District Superintendent of the Mary McLeod Bethune District of the Eastern PA Annual Conference. Bishop Fisher was the first woman ordained in the Kings Apostle Holiness Church of God. In 1990, she was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend the celebration. |
