Virginia Wesleyan College's Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will
open Tuesday, March 23 and closes Wednesday, March 30.
The exhibition will showcase Wesleyan art student’s work and ceramics
by non-art majors. The students pay a fee to enter the exhibition, the
money is used by the Student Art League to offset costs of trips and other
art related events. There will be a
first, second and third place prize and three honorable mentions. Jolene
Powell is the juror for this year’s show, she is a Wesleyan alumnus
of ’96. Powell is a member of the painting faculty at Marietta College,
Marietta Ohio.
The exhibition is in Sleeth Gallery on the ground floor of McCuskey Hall.
There will be an opening reception at 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday the awards
ceremony will be at 5:15 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday 11 a.m.
