Christina Jost ‘99, a standout basketball player for the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats, was named head women’s basketball coach at the University of the Ozarks.

Jost, a four-year player under head coach Lori Flaherty, was a 5-6 guard for Wesleyan’s basketball team from 1996-99. She scored 599 points and dished out 316 assists during her career. She was served as team captain for two years. Her best year was her senior season where she averaged 7.2 points per game and handed out 2.8 assist a game. 

She has served as the assistant coach the past two seasons at Ozarks. In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, she was the assistant girl’s basketball coach at John Hersey High School in Illinois for two seasons and has worked as a camp counselor at numerous basketball camps around the country including Dominican University (IL), Northwestern University (IL) and Wesleyan. A native of Arlington Heights, (IL) she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1999. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Education from Arkansas Tech University.
