James Moore to Join West Virginia Wesleyan College

West Virginia Wesleyan College has appointed James Moore as Visiting Instructor in Music. He served as the Visiting Artist in Residence at West Virginia University teaching in music education and jazz studies, guest conducting Jazz Ensemble One, and teaching a jazz arrangement master class among other duties. 

Moore earned his M.S. from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and his B.A. from WVU.  He currently has over 20 trumpet students ranging in ages 9-50. He has performed such numbers as 42nd Street, Anything Goes, and Chicago among many moreat the West Virginia Public Theatre and the Pittsburgh Musical Theatre.

Moore will join seven new teachers during the faculty orientation on August 14. Classes begin on August 22.
