Stephen (Steve) W. Jones, West Virginia Wesleyan’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was recently appointed to the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) Small Institutions Committee.

SACUBO’s primary objective is to inform higher education institutions in the southern region of the United States of issues that affect higher education. The purpose of the association is to foster, develop, and promote improved principles and efficient practices in the business and financial management of southern colleges and universities. SACUBO represents 14 southern states, including West Virginia. All 14 states have a representative, and Jones will represent West Virginia on the Small Institutions Committee. The Committee promotes and represents the distinct professional interests and issues of small colleges.

“It is an honor to be selected and I look forward to working with and enhancing the organization,” remarked Jones. Jones, a native of Charleston and a Marshall University graduate, has served in his role as Wesleyan’s CFO since the fall of 2001. Prior to that, he served in numerous key business assignments, including CFO of Scyscan, and President and CFO of Cambridge Research Group.
