Vandalia Readings on April 12
released: 4/4/06


The English Department will feature a 2006 Vandalia reading at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Nellie Wilson Lounge on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m.

The Vandalia is a magazine exhibiting the talent of Wesleyan students and faculty in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art. The evening will be highlighted by readings from senior English writing major, Hannah Johnson from Seth, WV, “Lights In the Driveway,” sophomore English writing major Laura Full from Elizabeth, WV, “Casket Catastrophes,” junior English literature major Ashley Laton from Hurricane, WV, “Rest Area Memoirs,” and senior theatre arts major, Lydia Wagner from Elkins, WV, “We Were Young.”

Other students and faculty participating are freshman Spencer Ball from Rockville, MD, Dr. Mark DeFoe, professor of English, Julia Dennis freshman music theatre major from Elliott City, MD, Alice Giles, senior history major from Laurel, MD , junior Jake Heater, English writing major from Gassaway, WV, Giovanni Rossi, senior English writing major from Weirton, WV, Grant Stolz, senior English writing major from Brick, NJ, Dr. Eric Waggoner, associate professor of English, John Waltz, assistant director of admission, Chris Way, senior English writing major from Lumberport, WV, senior public relations major Tracie Wise from Waldorf, MD, and Linwood Young, senior music theatre major from Frederick, MD.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
