West Virginia Wesleyan College has appointed Darcey Wayment as associate professor of chemistry. Dr. Wayment has been teaching at Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas for the past six years.  He has published many articles in the last ten years and has received numerous grants totaling $300,000 in the last three years.

He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Texas Tech University and his B.S. from Brigham Young University. Dr. Wayment will join seven new teachers during the faculty orientation on August 14. Classes begin on August 22.
