The Center for Community Engagement

At West Virginia Wesleyan College, our students learn both in and out of the classroom. The value of a private, liberal-arts education is enhanced when it includes partnerships between the college and the community.

The mission of the Center for Community Engagement is to support teaching, learning and scholarship that engages faculty, students and staff with their larger communities (local, state, regional, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.  These quality service experiences will assist each student in demonstrating local and/or world citizenship as well as engaging in experiential learning throughout their time at Wesleyan.
