Welcome to the Community Engagement Website!

At West Virginia Wesleyan College, our students learn both inside and outside of the classroom. The value of a private, liberal-arts education is enhanced when you include the partnership between the college and the community, whether it is local, regional, national, or global. Our students serve as mentors, tutors, classroom assistants, coaches, and marketing consultants for non-profit agencies, but most importantly they serve as agents of change.

Through engagement in community service, civic participation and leadership opportunities, students are receiving two educations in one by becoming responsible citizens. Community service is part of our culture at Wesleyan. Each year, more faculty are adding service-learning components to their classes;

more staff are assisting students in service and leadership opportunities;

and more students are engaging in meaningful service opportunities.

"Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can."

 - John Wesley (1703 - 1791)
