  Test Lab Coordinator

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a part-time, ten-month, 5 hour per day position of Test Lab Coordinator in the Learning Center. The position begins in early August and runs through the second week of June, each academic year.

Responsibilities include organizing, supervising, and monitoring activity in the Learning Center Test Lab which delivers services to students with diagnosed learning disabilities. Experience in office management is essential. Candidates should possess strong ethical decision making, organizational, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Completion of college level classes is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Mail Services Assistant

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a part-time, less than 1000 hours per year, Mail Services Assistant. The position is primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation of incoming and outgoing mail through the US Mail Service, UPS, Federal Express, selling stamps, and other assigned duties. The applicant must be courteous, organized, able to lift small and large packages and have good personal communication skills.

A high school diploma and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.

Administrative Assistant - Department of Nursing

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month, Administrative Assistant for the Department of Nursing. The position is primarily responsible for applying professional administrative assistant and clerical expertise, exercising initiative and proficient organizational skills, to perform a wide variety of support to the department chairperson, faculty and students.

An Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, and two years of experience as an administrative assistant or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required. The successful candidate must have excellent customer relations, oral and written communication, and organizational skills; the ability to work well with other people; and computer proficiency.

LBP Reading Clinician

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for a part-time LBP Reading Clinician. The position is primarily responsible for teaching in the clinical reading program using Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes. Teaching in this program involves diagnostic and prescriptive teaching of students with reading, spelling, and language processing needs; collaborating with the LBP Coordinator and other LBP Clinicians in testing, consulting and pacing the students enrolled in the program. The position begins in early August and runs through mid May, each academic year.

A Bachelor's degree in education or other liberal arts field, experience in teaching or tutoring individuals, and a willingness to be trained in the Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes are required. The candidate should possess excellent reading, spelling and oral language comprehension, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment with other professionals and constituencies.

Internships - Athletic Training

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for six (6) Athletic Training Internships. The internships will be on campus and in the public school systems. The positions are 10-month, approximately 20 hours per week, and begin August 1, 2010. An undergraduate degree from a CAATE accredited program and NATABOC eligible are required, with certification being preferred. Two of the positions require certification prior to employment. Employment is contingent upon acceptance into the graduate program at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Interns receive a stipend.

Faculty Position - Marketing

West Virginia Wesleyan College and the department of Business and Economics seek applications for a faculty position in Marketing available in fall 2010. This is a one-year appointment, which may become a tenure track position. We are looking for someone who will fit into a team-oriented environment with the following qualifications:

1) A Ph.D., a D.B.A. (preferred), or a Master’s degree with appropriate professional certifications

2) Evidence of effective teaching

3) A willingness to work with students as well as serve the College.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach in our M.B.A. program.
