Director of Admission Posted: 3/11/2008 West Virginia Wesleyan College is seeking a highly organized, creative and forward thinking admission professional who is able to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administration, coaches, alumni and other constituencies in the effective recruitment of new students. The Director of Admission, who reports directly to the Vice President for Student Development and Enrollment Management, is responsible for the total administration of the admission department including the supervision of fifteen staff members; the development of a strategic recruitment plan based on historic data and success as well as the exploration of new markets; and, working with faculty, staff, alumni and students to develop and strengthen admission recruitment events on campus and throughout the region. In addition, and in collaboration with our marketing and communication department, this individual is actively involved in developing marketing and recruitment materials for first year, international and transfer students. The Director is also responsible for developing and managing the admission budget.
The successful candidate will have a record of effective new student recruitment in a competitive market. He/she will also possess skills related to analyzing data and integrating this analysis into an ongoing strategic planning process. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision: The position is responsible for the supervision of 3 Assistant Coordinators (ACs) & several Resident Assistants (RAs).

Dean of Community Engagement Posted: 3/5/2008 West Virginia Wesleyan College is seeking a creative, energetic, and forward-thinking individual who is able to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty, administration, staff, students, and community partners. This newly-created position, which is the centerpiece of our recent and ongoing strategic planning process, is designed to promote quality community engagement experiences in the academic program, as well as through co-curricular service opportunities. This position, which reports directly to the President of the College, is responsible for building a comprehensive community engagement program that helps each student participate in meaningful service experiences during their undergraduate years.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to service while promoting volunteerism in others. In particular, this individual will have experience in a collegiate setting, including the development and assessment of community engagement opportunities and experiences.
