Audio-Visual Services

What are Audio-Visual Services?

Audio-visual Services, also known as Educational Media Services, provides technology and equipment to the campus community to assist in the learning process. A-V Services is the source for TVs, VCRs, LCD projectors, camcorders, and other eductional technology.

How do I request A-V services?

To request audio-visual services, complete the A-V Services Request Form under the Services area of the Library website. A-V services may also be requested by contacting Jerry Donahue, ext. 8020, or in the A-V office, located in the basement of the Library. For assistance in reserving videos, films, or other media materials for classroom instruction, contact Carol Bowman in the Library Aquisitions and Media Services department.

How much advance notice does the A-V Department need to fill my request?

Requests for services during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Requests for services after-hours or during the week-end need to be made at least 72 hours in advance of the event time. Due to limited staff and equipment availability, the A-V Department cannot guarantee services if enough advance notice is not given.

Can students request A-V Services?

Yes. Students may borrow most equipment from the A-V Department. Students who need computer projectors for class presentations should request those items through the faculty member in charge of the course. Individuals are held responsible for any damages done to A-V equipment in their care. Circulating A-V equipment will also accrue normal library overdue charges, currently $10.00 per day.
