Music Library

The Music Library, located in Room 26 of the Loar Music Hall, is an excellent resource for information concerning the world of music. The selection is predominantly classical. All materials available in the Music Library are listed in the main Library catalog. By utilizing the standard Library search, users may choose to limit search results to list items in the Music Library only. Materials are often used in conjunction with classes, and therefore may be on reserve. Please ask a Library employee for assistance in locating Music Library materials if needed. Listening stations are also available in the Library for use with Music Library materials.

Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 11:00 pm.
Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Sunday: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
The Music Library is closed on Saturdays.

Materials available include:
Compact Disc format sound recordings, as well as archival 33 1/3 rpm LP vinyl recordings, video and audio cassettes. The Music Library also houses performance and study scores, including the Complete Works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel and Pergolesi, musical theory reference works, and other books and periodicals of use to music students.
