Unauthorized Removal of Library Materials

Patrons who wish to borrow library materials, including books, periodicals, and media, must check them out following established Library procedure. The Library prohibits unauthorized removal of any Library material. To assure compliance, all patrons must enter and exit through the security gates at the main entrance of the Library. Mobility-impaired patrons may use alternative entries if necessary.

The Library staff reserves the right to search patrons, their bags, or other belongings if a patron triggers the security alarm or attempts to bypass the security system. Patrons suspected of intentionally removing materials without authorization will be referred to the Campus Judicial Board.
