MFA Will Host Literary Reading Series

West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Master of Fine Arts Program is hosting a literary reading series that will take place during the MFA Creative Writing Program Summer Residency beginning June 30. All readings are free and open to the public.
The reading series begins at 7 p.m. June 30 with a fiction reading by Jessie van Eerden, WVWC MFA director and author of Glorybound.
The rest of the series’ schedule is as follows: July 1 at 8 p.m., poetry reading by Dan Albergotti, associate professor of English at Coastal Carolina University and author of The Boatloads; July 2 at 7 p.m., a fiction reading by Karen McElmurray, associate professor of English at Georgia College and State University and the author of The Motel of the Stars, Surrendered Child: A Birth Mother’s Journey, and Strange Birds in the Tree of Heaven; and July 5 at 7 p.m., a fiction reading by Sara Pritchard, WVWC MFA visiting faculty and author of Crackpots and Lately, and a poetry reading by Doug Van Gundy, WVWC MFA core faculty and author of A Life Above Water.
All readings will be in the Meditation Chapel, located at the back entrance of Wesley Chapel on the campus of Wesleyan.
