Two scholarships to be awarded for fall 2013
Applications are being accepted now through March 1, 2013 for the Marvin W. Culpepper History Scholarship at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV.
The $3,000 scholarship is awarded to two high school seniors who demonstrate high aptitude and plan to enroll at West Virginia Wesleyan during the fall 2013 semester. The winners must declare a major in history at the institution and demonstrate financial need. The Culpepper History Scholarship was established in 1995 by Marvin Culpepper, a 1951 graduate of the College and former high school history teacher in Kanawha Valley schools. In addition to establishing scholarships, he frequently donates American History books to the College.
Applications should be sent to John Waltz, director of admission, West Virginia Wesleyan College, 59 College Avenue, Buckhannon, WV, 26201 and postmarked before March 1, 2013.
